Ocean City

Every Sunday: Sundaes in the Park

Held each Sunday throughout the summer season, Sundaes in the Park features free live music and children’s activities, as well as ice cream, which is available for purchase. Families are encouraged to bring their picnic baskets and beach chairs to Northside Park and enjoy free entertainment as the sun sets over the Assawoman Bay. A fireworks display will end each event. The weekly event is held from 7-9 p.m.

Every Sunday: Sunset Park Party Nights

Enjoy a free concert and watch the sunset over the Isle of Wight Bay from Sunset Park, located at S. Division Street and the bay, near the U.S. Coast Guard station. Held each Sunday from 7-9 p.m. throughout the summer, attendees are invited to bring a chair, purchase a beverage and enjoy the sounds from local bands. Admission is free. Every Monday: OC Beach Dance Party

Held each Monday from 7:30-9:30 p.m., listen to local DJs at Ocean City’s Caroline Street Stage and dance the night away. The event is for all ages. The entertainment schedule includes DJ Kutt on Aug. 1, DJ Magellan on Aug. 8, BK & Chrissy “Radio Ocean City” on Aug. 15, DJ Knappy & Gizmo on Aug. 22 and DJ Kutt on Aug. 29.

Every Monday: Drone Show on the Beach

Experience Ocean City’s drone shows located downtown on the beach. Events will be held Mondays, Aug. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 beginning at 9: 30 p.m.

Every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday: Beach Movies and Yard Games

Families are invited to gather for movie nights on the beach Monday, Wednesday and Friday, all summer long. The free event will include music and entertainment, with family yard games such as ladder ball, corn hole and spikeball. Movies start at dusk and will be displayed on a big screen on the beach. Held Mondays and Fridays at the 27th Street beach and Wednesdays at the Carousel Hotel, 118th Street Oceanfront.

Aug. 8-12: White Marlin Open and Marlin Fest

The 49th annual White Marlin Open returns to Ocean City for a week of sportfishing. Billed the world’s largest billfish tournament, the event attracts people and celebrities from around the globe and features more than a million dollars in prizes. Spectators can watch weigh-ins in real time by visiting Marlin Fest, located at the 3rd Street Park bayside in downtown Ocean City. Watch the action on the big screen and enjoy vendors, food, drinks and entertainment for the entire family.

Aug. 13: The Ultimate Variety Show

The Ultimate Variety Show, featuring recreations of Las Vegas’ top impersonators, comes to the Ocean City convention center on Aug. 13. Watch your favorite superstars, including Sonny and Cher, Billy Joel, Elton John and Ray Charles, come alive on the big stage. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $30.

Aug. 19-21: Ocean City Offshore Power Boat Race

Meet the racers Aug. 19 at Pier 23 in West Ocean City and view the race boats, which will be on display at the West Ocean City Boat Ramp from Aug. 19-21. Raceswill be held Aug. 21 along the Atlantic Ocean between South Division Street and 14th Street. The first race will begin at noon, and the second race will begin at 2 p.m. The races are free to spectators.

Aug. 20-21: ArtX

Held each year at Northside Park,ArtX features artistic activities, displayed artwork, master workshops, and food, beer and wine sales. The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Aug. 25-28: OC Jeep Week

Hosted at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center and within the Ocean City area, OC Jeep Week will feature beach crawls, Jeep Jams and much more. The event will be held Aug. 25-28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact [email protected] [email protected].

Aug. 31: Originals Only

The Art League of Ocean City will host its monthly Originals Only showcase from 7-9 p.m. Enjoy coffee and live performances by DomtheGonzo, Josh Quillen, Big Chap and Fraiser Fir. Event is free to attend.

Berlin

Every Sunday: Berlin Farmers Market

Held each Sunday in downtown Berlin, the producers-only farmers market features jams, jellies, fresh fruits and vegetables, breads, flowers and more. Live music is also held from 10 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. The market opens at 9 a.m.

Every Friday: Live Music Fridays

Live Music Fridays are held each Friday evening from May thru September. The event is held from 6-8 p.m. on Commerce Street.

Aug. 2: National Night Out

Join the Berlin Police Department for a night of family-friendly fun. Held at William Henry Park, National Night Out features music, games and local vendors. Festivities begin at 4 p.m.

Aug. 6: Peach Festival

Held each year around the Calvin B. Taylor House Museum, the Berlin Peach Festival offers peach sales, pie-baking contests, music, crafts and food vendors. The event kicks off at 10 a.m., and free shuttles will be available at Berlin Intermediate School. The event is hosted by the Berlin Heritage Foundation.

Aug. 14: Sundays at the Museum

The Calvin B. Taylor House Museum will host Sundays at the Museum on Aug. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. Join for fun and music.

Bethany Beach

Every Sunday: Bethany Beach Vol. Fire Company T-Shirt Shop

The Bethany Beach Vol. Fire Company Auxiliary will host a T-shirt shop sale each Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon throughout the summer. The shop is located in the alley behind the fire house, and all proceeds benefit the volunteer firefighters and first responders.

Every Sunday: Bethany Beach Farmers Market

The producers-only Bethany Beach Farmers Market is held each Sunday, from 8 a.m. to noon. Vendors will be stationed at Garfield Parkway and Pennsylvania Avenue, across the street from PNC Bank, selling their produce and wares.

Every Monday: Movies on the Beach

The Town of Bethany Beach will host its weekly Movies on the Beach throughout the summer season. Family-friendly movies will be played on the beach every Monday evening, beginning at dusk.

Aug. 3-6: Parish of St. Ann Annual Bazaar

Community members are invited to the annual bazaar, featuring linens, housewares, hand-painted items, toys, furniture and more. There will also be food for sale. The event will be held Aug. 3, from 3-7 p.m., Aug. 4-5, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Aug. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The bazaar will also feature a weekend-long silent auction and raffle, which will be drawn on Aug. 6 at noon.

Dewey Beach

Every Monday: Movies on Dewey Beach

Families are invited to the beach at Dagsworthy Avenue every Monday for a free family movie night. The weekly event begins at 8:30 p.m. Glow necklaces will also be available with a $1 donation.

Every Wednesday: Bonfires on Dewey Beach

Families are invited to bring their beach chairs to Dagsworthy Avenue on Wednesday evenings for a bonfire on the beach. Held from 7-9 p.m., the weekly event features glow sticks and marshmallows with a $1 donation. Parking in Dewey Beach is free between the hours of 5-11 p.m., Monday through Wednesday.

Aug. 9: Restaurant Olympics

Hosted by Dewey Business Partnership, the Restaurant Olympics pits local businesses against each other for a chance to win a trophy and a year’s worth of bragging rights. Teams from each participating business compete in restaurant-themed games.

Aug. 12-14: ZAP PRO/AM World Championships of Skimboarding

The 40th annual event returns to the Dagsworthy Street beach in Dewey. Medals and prize bags will be awarded to the top four competitors in all amateur divisions. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top six finishers in the men’s professional division and the top four finishers in the women’s professional division. The three-day competition will begin at 8:30 each morning and will feature music and a beach chill zone.

Rehoboth Beach

Every Tuesday: Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market

Held at Grove Park each Tuesday throughout the summer season, the Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market features vendors selling produce, baked goods, breads and more. The weekly event is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.

Aug. 5: First Friday Fun Nights At Schellville

Fun Nights at Schellville is held the first Friday of every month and features live music, roller skating, food trucks, beer garden and more. The event runs from 5-9 p.m.

Aug. 6: 12th Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show

Held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Warren L. and Charles C. Allen Jr. CHEER Community Center, the 12th Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show will feature Georgetown Fire Company’s 100-year-old American LaFrance fire apparatus and dozens of vehicles on display. There will also be a traditional champagne luncheon,with 65 feet of assorted foods.

Aug. 21: Firefightin’ 5K

The Firefightin’ 5K, a Seashore Strider race, benefits the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company. The race kicks off at 8 a.m. at the fire station.

Aug. 27: Paddlefest 2022

Join Delaware Seashore State Park for its 6th annual Paddlefest, a four-mile kayaking excursion beginning at 10 a.m. An after party, featuring food, music, kids’ activities and vendors, will follow the event at Tower Road Oceanside.

Aug. 28, Sun Festival 5K and Biathlon

Hosted by Seashore Striders, the Sun Festival 5K and Biathlon is a run or walk, or run and swim event to benefit CAMP Rehoboth. The race will be held from 8-10 a.m.

Lewes

Every Other Monday: Monday Night Super Movies

The Lewes Public Library will host free outdoor movie screenings on Aug. 8 and Aug. 22. Themed films will be presented on the library’s back lawn, beginning at 8:15. Guests are encouraged to bring their blanks, chairs and refreshments.

Every Saturday: Historic Lewes Farmers Market

The Historic Lewes Farmers Market returns for the summer season. Held each Wednesday and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to noon, the market features jams and jellies, fresh fruits and vegetables and more.

Aug. 6-7, Aug. 13-14: 49th Annual Outdoor Fine Arts & Fine Craft Show

This rain-or-shine event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. For more information, call 302-227-8408.

Aug. 20: Coastal Collectibles & Antiques Show

Held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Historic Campus, the Coastal Collectibles & Antiques Show features antique treasures, hard-to-find collectibles from all periods, live music and food. An admission price of $5 gives visitors access to Lewes Historical Society properties and museums. Proceeds from the event will support educational and preservation programs. Children 12 and under enter for free.

Aug. 27: Annual Beach BBQ At Children’s Beach House

The annual Beach BBQ returns to the Children’s Beach House in Lewes for a night of cocktails, beer and wine, dinnerand more. All proceeds benefit Children’s Beach House. The event is held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
