Ocean City

April 2: Job Fair

The Town of Ocean City and the Greater Ocean City Chamber of Commerce join together to host its 2022 Job Fair. Update your resume and dress to impress for an opportunity to find your next career. Employers will be onsite to accept applications and conduct interviews. The event will be held at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

April 13: Menopause The Musical

Held at the Ocean City Performing Arts Center, Menopause The Musical is a 90-minute production that “gets audience members out of their seats and singing along to parodies from classic pop songs of the 60s, 70s and 80s.” Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show beginning promptly at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through the Performing Arts Center’s website. 

April 15-16: Easter Arts & Crafts Show and Kids Fun Fair

The Easter Arts & Crafts Show comes to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center April 15-16 with artists and crafters displaying handcrafted items including photography, jewelry, decor and more. The show will be held in conjunction with the Kids Fun Fair, with activities, games, contests and entertainment, including the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunts, magic and juggling shows and more. The event is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors ages 60 and up, $4 for students ages 4-18, and free for ages 3 and under and those with military, police or fire ID.

April 17: Easter Sunrise Service

An Easter Sunrise Service will be held on Easter Sunday, from 6-7 a.m. at North Division Street and the Boardwalk. Sponsored by the Ocean City Christian Ministers Association, the event is open to all. April 22-24: Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition and Art Festival 

The Ward Foundation, which operates the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, will host its historic Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition and Art Festival in a modified three-day event. In lieu of a regular in-person event at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, the competition will feature a virtual modified competition, with live-streamed judging. April 23: Walk MS 2022

Walk MS returns to Ocean City April 23 to raise funds for a cure. The walk begins at the Ocean City Boardwalk Inlet, with one-mile and three-mile routes available. The site opens at 9 a.m., with the walk beginning at 10 a.m. 

April 24: Mid-Atlantic Symphony’s A Gloriously Radiant Finale

The Mid-Atlantic Symphony’s A Gloriously Radiant Finale comes to the Ocean City Performing Arts Center April 24. The show will feature YaoGuang Zhai, principal clarinetist of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be shown to attend the event. Tickets, which are $50 per person, can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

April 27: Originals Only

The Ocean City Center for the Arts will host its monthly Originals Only concert, a night of live performances by local musicians and comedians. The event, held from 7-9 p.m., is free and open to the public. This month’s featured artists include DomtheGonzo, Josh Quillen, Big Chap and Fraiser Fir. 

April 29-May 1: Maryland International Kite Festival 2022 

The beaches from 3rd to 7th streets will transform into center stage for the 2022 Maryland International Kite Festival, featuring three days of kite flying, exhibitions and demonstrations, and stunt and power kite lessons. Hosted by the Town of Ocean City and The Kite Loft, giant kites of all shapes and sizes will be displayed throughout the event, which is free and open to the public.

April 30-May 1: Beach Bash Super Cheer and Dance Nationals

Beach Bash Super Cheer and Dance Nationals returns to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center for a weekend of competitions. U.S. Cheer, the event organizer, is a tier-one organization providing cheer and spirit events. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for senior citizens and students, $15 for children and free for kids ages 3 and under.

Berlin

April 2: Spring Just Walk Berlin

Spring Just Walk Berlin is a free fun walk with one-, two- and three-mile routes starting at Stephen Decatur Park. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with all walkers eligible to enter a free raffle for a FibBit. Strollers and friendly, leashed dogs are welcome.

April 16: Berlin Spring Celebration

The Berlin Chamber of Commerce will host its Spring Celebration with a day of themed games and crafts, face painting, a cupcake walk, an egg hunt and more. The egg hunt, which will be held on the corner of Washington and West streets, starts at 1 p.m., while a Madhatter Parade, beginning at the Worcester Youth & Family Counseling Services office, starts at 3 p.m. 

April 17: Take Pride in Berlin Week

Throughout the week, Berlin will host fun activities, which ends with the town’s Cleanup Day on April 23. Volunteers will clean up and beautify the parks or areas throughout town.

April 29-30: Ocean to Bay Bike Tour 2022

The annual Ocean to Bay Bike Tour returns to the beaches of “the Quiet Resorts” April 29-30. The cycling tour takes participants through Sussex County’s beaches, bays and coastal communities with a 10-, 30- and 50-metric century and century ride on flat terrain. Rehoboth Beach

April 2: Dogfish Head I.P.A. (I Pedal A Lot)

Hosted by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Velo Amis, the scenic ride begins and ends at the brewery, with cyclists traveling throughout the rural roads and bike paths of Sussex County. Distances include a 50-kilometer route and a 100-kilometer route, with courses subject to change based on conditions. Funds raised from the ride will support the Sussex County Land Trust. 

April 7-10: Women’s Fest

CAMP Rehoboth’s Women’s Fest will return in 2022 with keynote speakers, a comedy trio and performances by country artist Chely Wright. The event will also feature cornhole tournaments, beach yoga, cruise raffles, mixers and more. Tickets and festival passes are now available online. 

April 16: Rehoboth Beach Historical Tour

Jolly Trolley will host its Rehoboth Beach Historical Tour. View Rehoboth Beach and all its charm from the iconic Classic Trolley, all while learning the history of the coastal community. Tickets can be purchased online or in person for $20 the day of the event. 

April 19: Sippin’ with the Sloths

Hang with Barn Hill Preserve’s sloths at Revelation Craft Brewing Company for an evening of food, drinks and fun. Enjoy Revelation beers, Nassau Valley Vineyards’ wine and DaNizza Wood Fired pizza while surrounded by the tree-loving mammals. Admission is $40 per person.

Lewes

April 1-17: Lewes Tulip Celebration

Celebrate Lewes’ Dutch heritage by enjoying History in Bloom walking tours, floral demonstrations, flower sales and more. Last fall, Lewes in Bloom volunteers planted more than 33,000 bulbs in over 20 locations through town, including 245 alliums, 1,000 hyacinths, 600 irises, 4,325 narcissi and 27,000-plus tulips. Enjoy all the blooms, colors and scents this event has to offer. 

April 10: Easter Bunny Tea

Visit the Milton Theatre for a live interactive show with tea and your favorite Easter characters. The event begins at 1 p.m., and tickets are available through the theater’s website. 

April 15: Great Delaware Kite Festival

The 51st Annual Great Delaware Kite Festival returns to Cape Henlopen State Park April 15. A friendly competition with homemade and store-bought kites will be followed by a visit from the Easter Bunny, an Easter egg hunt and more. Register onsite beginning at 10 a.m. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. 

April 17: Broadway Cabaret

View the region’s finest talent performing Broadway musical favorites from recent years until now. The show begins at 8 p.m. Be sure to get your tickets online through the theater’s website.
